OUR HISTORY
Viable Operations (Vi-Ops) was established in 2022 by an Air Force veteran Reginald
Tatum. With over 30 years performing Airport/Airfield Operations, Risk/Vulnerability
Assessments, and Counter Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) assessments in locations such
as the United States, Central America, Eastern and Western Europe, Pacific, and the Middle
East.
While serving 25 years as an Airfield Manager Mr. Tatum has had the opportunity to lead
and train individuals in locations such as the United States, Central America, Eastern and
Western Europe, Pacific, and the Middle East. After retiring he continued to provide his
expertise in the middle east as a Deputy Site Lead, overseeing all aspects of Airfield Operations.
Because of his knowledge he was selected to be the first Airfield and C-UAS Program Manager
for the Joint Security Division positioned in the United States Central Command. He served as
the Subject Matter Expert with oversight of 21 nations.
With over 30 plus years of military and
civilian service Mr. Tatum decided it was time to establish Viable Operations in Tampa, Florida.
He has provided his services to various Organizations and Firms such as Amyx, Booz Allen
Hamilton, Ingenuity and Purpose and Dyncorp.
Our Risk Assessment determines the threats and vulnerabilities of installations, facilities,
supporting units, ports, and residences. Once the assessment is concluded we report the threats
to the customer and recommend a fix action.
We provide a systematic, rigorous analysis of critical infrastructure (Emergency Service,
Information Technology, Transportation, Schools) and other key assets, mapping complex
dependencies to safeguard operational continuity and ensure the resilient sustainment of global
operations. Our scalable assessment framework is tailored to your specific requirements ranging
from internal baseline reviews and guided self-evaluations to sophisticated, full-spectrum audits
conducted by independent, multidisciplinary expert teams.
The primary purpose of the
assessments is to communicate known risks to asset owners, mission owners, and others who
have the responsibility and authority to manage resources and risk. The assessment results enable
leaders at all levels to make better informed decisions.
